Lockout Information

As locksmiths it is important for us to be able to link you to the property or vehicle we are gaining access to. Driver license, passport or any photo id is a good start. We understand that the id may be locked inside. We always fill out a lock out disclaimer for each job. A relatives house? or house sitting? Call us and discuss for any other situation.
The methods of gaining entry does no damage to the lock or cylinder. All existing keys will still function as they did previously.

The job itself is generally straight forward and is we will have you back in quickly.
Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm a lockout is $125.
Weekends and After hours additional cost depending on day and time. Please call for pricing.
We only invoice current clients/businesses. We carry Efpos machine and can also do card payment over the phone if card isn’t on site. Also accept cash and cheque.
Rekey Information
Some retentive information and questions you have have.
Rekeying a lock is the most cost effective way of changing the keys for the lock. The lock will look and function the same, however the pins inside the cylinder have been changed to suit new keys. This will ensure all old keys no longer work.

Each house has a different amount of locks, But we can usually rekey most average size houses is around an hour or so.

Lock Repair Information

Many people assume replacing the lock is the only option. This is not the case. Many lock manufactures make spare parts for commonly breaking parts in the lock. This can be something as small as a clip or spring. We are trained to recognize all signs of common faults with locks. The current lock on the door could be good quality and expensive, therefor repairing it is a more cost effective option
We will always do our best to repair the existing lock. We carry and have access to many spare parts for many brands of locks. We will advise you if it is broken beyond repair or wont last in the future. In this case we would advise on replacing the lock.

Lock Installation Information

As qualified locksmiths, We are trained and licensed to give you the best security options that meet all regulations where required. We may be able to give you multiple locking options and you chose which is best suited to your application.
Domestic – It is always worth calling your insurance company and discussing your security. They will generally require you to have deadlocks on all external doors and windows. This means they are key lockable from both the inside and outside of the door.
Commercial – Fire exit regulations are extremely important. This ensures all employees and customers are able to exit with one downward motion. Only one lock can generally be used on a door, No deadlocks allowed. We can offer a site survey to ensure your premises meets the regulations.

Fresh fits are generally the most time consuming, If we are replace a lock with the same or similar item the job is fast and straight forward. We will advise on times depending on fitting and lock type.
